In 2022 my wife and I went on an extended trip through the southwestern US to visit a number of national parks for the first time. The trip included several weeks in New Mexico. An additional location that we visited was the Bisti Badlands, a remote area with very unusual rock formations. We rented an RV to stay close in, and explored the badlands.
Unfortunately, a flat tire and a bad wind storm cut our trip short. We went back the next year to go again. This time we drove in from from a bit farther away, but still made it to some different areas that were down roads that the RV could not go anyway. This is a key example of the features of Bisti.
