Glendale Cove is located within the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia. Taking a boat into Knight Inlet allows you to get very close to the bears grazing along the shoreline, while you search for the elusive “Spirit Bear,” a subspecies of the Kermode bear found only in this region.
During our trip through the inlet, we witnessed a large bald eagle capture a seagull—an unusual behavior, as most eagles in the area tend to fish in the waters instead. We circled the eagle as it perched on a post in the middle of the water, and this photo was taken from our moving zodiac boat as we passed by.
