This image shows a waterfall located along the rather steep path in the suggestive gorge of the Ayasse River, which runs alongside for a stretch. After crossing a bridge, we find a steep climb in the woods: it is the area known as “la scaletta” because it is characterised by numerous stone or wooden steps that allow you to go up the path.

Continuing further, you can encounter pastures, lichens and stone buildings. The route ends in the Dondena basin, all in the Mont Avic Park area, to arrive at the old hunting lodge of King Vittorio Emanuele II, the Dondena refuge.

The photograph was taken with a Nikon D5000 70-300mm Sigma lens; however, given the slope, it is advisable to lighten up and use more comfortable photographic equipment.

I believe that the image gives a sense not only of freshness but of the purity of Nature, a corner that allows you to escape from the deafening daily noises and distract your mind from bad thoughts and the sufferings of life.
