Amur Falcons migrate long distances from Northern China to South Africa during winter. On the longest route, they sometimes stop in India. After a long time, they make a small halt in Lonavala, India.
When I heard about this, I decided to go to the place and take their pictures. One afternoon, I went to the grasslands of Lonavala, where I saw the birds. I had to scan the large, beautiful grassland to spot them.
I spotted two or three females. I followed one of them, who was busy killing insects on the ground. She rested on a small rock. I crawled on the ground towards her with my camera in hand. She was scanning the area with her sharp eyes.
