Before making my way back to the states, I took one last moment to fully appreciate just how beautiful Agawa Bay truly is.
The morning sun casting its light in the distance to the peaking maple belt was the cherry on top. There’s a raw natural beauty along the eastern shores of Lake Superior. A sense of isolation with Mother Nature that feels surreal. I was drawn into the shoreline with finding a subject to capture, leading the eyes from the foreground to the background. This driftwood was perfect what I imagined.
I used a Lee Little Stopper ND filter to use a longer shutter speed to capture the transition of light and smoothing out the lake to give this a surreal vibe. I knew that it was the right choice.
This trip was long awaited and has given me the opportunity to say that I’ve been around Lake Superior. I’m far from done visiting this area, and I look forward to another trip along the eastern shore.
