We respect the intellectual property of all photographers and ask our readers to do the same. All material on our website and in our magazines is protected by copyright, and no one is permitted to copy or reproduce anything without consent.
Accessing our material
Premium members are entitled to access, download, and print the magazines’ material for their own personal and non-commercial use only, provided that you do not:
• Remove any notices relating to the ownership of copyright.
• Republish it on any other website, blog, or internet media.
Refund policy
Landscape Photography Magazine and Wild Planet Photo Magazine are digital products that can be downloaded immediately after a membership subscription. Therefore, we have a strict no-refund policy.
Picture contributions
We are delighted to receive your contributions, but only on the following basis:
• You accept that we may decide not to allow publication at our absolute discretion.
• You warrant that all contributions are lawful and do not infringe any third-party rights and that you will indemnify us for any breach of this warranty.
• You license us to use the material you provide on our website and in our magazines and for multiple uses. You also license us to use the material on our social media platforms (for promotional reasons) and for multiple uses. However, your images will always remain under your copyright (you may publish them elsewhere), and you will always be credited when we publish them. We will never share your contributions with any third party.
• We reserve the right to crop any photographs you submit at our discretion in order to fit the magazines’ design and format.
• We reserve the right to share your identity with any third party claiming that any material submitted by you violates copyright laws.
• We do not provide compensation for submitted images; we only compensate for special features and articles. However, we strive to ensure that photographers who submit images through our submission forms receive full promotion via the magazines and our social media pages.
Article contributions
• The article must have been written by you, without the use of AI or AI assistance. You may use AI as a source for gathering information, but not for writing or editing the article.
• You agree that we may exercise full editorial control over the material and may decline publication at our absolute discretion.
• You warrant that all contributions are lawful and do not infringe the rights of any third party, and you will indemnify us for any breach of this warranty.
• You grant Landscape Photography Magazine a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, reproduce, store, adapt, edit, distribute, and repurpose your article in any format that forms part of, or is directly connected to, the Landscape Photography Magazine brand. This includes, without limitation: our website, our magazines, social media, ebooks, anthologies, compilations, themed collections, promotional and subscription-related products.
This licence includes the right to use the material more than once, at any time, without further payment.
• Your images remain your copyright, and you may publish them elsewhere at any time. You will always be credited when we publish your images. We will never license or supply your images or articles to any third party.
• We reserve the right to crop or adjust any photographs you submit at our discretion in order to fit the magazine’s design and format.
• We retain the right to disclose your identity to any party who claims that your submitted material infringes copyright or any other legal rights.
• All articles submitted must be fully exclusive. Articles that have been published elsewhere, or are scheduled for publication elsewhere within six months, cannot be accepted. We cannot accept text copied from any source, nor text created with AI tools.
• Once your article has been accepted, you may not publish it or submit it elsewhere for a period of six months from its first publication by us. After six months, you may publish the article on your own website, but not in the magazine format or layout in which we published it, as all magazine designs and layouts are fully copyrighted.
• This restriction does not apply to your images; you may publish those at any time. To help you promote your work, we will provide you with promotional material for use on your website and social media.
• UK payments are made via bank transfer or PayPal. All other international payments are made through PayPal only.
• Payments are issued within 60 days of a feature’s publication date.
Accessing back issues
We understand that you may forget to download or miss one or more magazine issues you subscribed to due to holidays or a busy schedule. However, our membership system does not allow downloads after your membership expires. Additionally, please note that:
• We notify you as soon as a new issue is published.
• It is your responsibility to ensure that our newsletter notification email reaches your inbox.
• It is your responsibility to make sure you download all issues you have paid for. We will send you the missed issues, but please remember to download them to help us save time.
