Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan situated within Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft National Park, recognised as part of the world’s oldest desert. This area experiences rare and unpredictable rainfall, which temporarily transforms the landscape into a vibrant oasis—a true desert in bloom. However, the water evaporates quickly, leaving behind a mosaic of dried mud patterns.
