This was a real cracker of a morning, with both gorgeous light and a fairly still lake, allowing the reflections to give this shot a lot of extra depth. I like the tiny ripples in the shot, as it gives it a somewhat ‘painterly’ effect.
I seem to recall this didn’t last very long before the dreaded big ripples started to appear and the scene was largely gone. When it all comes together, it’s just a moment of real magic and more than makes up for the times when it doesn’t.
