On a work trip to Germany in October, a colleague and I took the opportunity to visit the Japanese Garden in Kaiserslautern. Though it was a gray day, the maples were turning a beautiful fiery orange, and some of the other trees had just begun their own transformation. They added a splash of color over the koi pond to an otherwise drizzly afternoon.
