A lovely morning wandering through the woodland, searching for the first signs of autumn. The leaves are only just beginning to turn, so I reckon we’re still two or three weeks away from the full spectrum of autumn colors.
I’ve been wanting to experiment with using fallen leaves to frame a woodland scene for a while now, and this magnificent old oak made the perfect subject.
This image was created using focus stacking to capture the intricate details of the foreground leaf while keeping the woodland beyond beautifully sharp.
