I was struck by the “dock to nowhere” feeling of this structure, when of course, all docks lead to water at their end. But something so unprepossessing about this one caught me—it is on a very nice lake in a wealthy suburb outside Seattle, jetting out from a lovely park, but it’s old, crooked, and it’s happy.
