This was one of the first images I took on a trip to Northumberland in August 2026. The weather forecast was not at all promising, but before the rain arrived and set in for the day, I managed to capture a long exposure of the pier.
There was just a vague hint of color in the late morning sky, and I think including the rock in the bottom left of the image adds a bit of balance. I blended the horizon in post-production and removed the people fishing from the pier to create a clean image.
