Autumn is one of the times of year when I most enjoy observing the landscape from above. In the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park, the forest seemed to have transformed into a vast natural palette, filled with yellows, oranges, reds, and the last remaining shades of green.
I launched my drone, looking for a composition that could tell not only the story of the season’s colors, but also the relationship between nature and human presence. From above, this winding road immediately caught my attention: it crosses the forest almost following its natural rhythm, like a ribbon drawn through the mountains.
The small car in the image adds an important element for me. It gives a sense of scale to the landscape and suggests the idea of travel, discovery, and the desire to lose yourself in places like this.
For me, this photograph is above all about the joy of traveling through nature, seen from a perspective that suddenly makes us feel very small.
