The stream meanders through the valley, fed by the snowmelt from the distant Karakoram Range. A circular polarizer brought out the blues of the sky.

Ladakh is often called the “Land of High Passes,” a name that barely hints at the raw grandeur of this otherworldly terrain. Here, the landscape defies convention. Towering peaks, draped in snow even at the height of summer, cast long, deep shadows over arid valleys.
