The river is on its tortuous way, heading north through the picturesque and fertile Suru Valley to ultimately merge with the mighty Indus River in Pakistan after crossing the boundary of India.
The valley is bordered by the mighty, snow-capped Himalayas and the majestic Zanskar Range.
