I marveled as I strolled through a forest park in Unterseen, on a south-facing slope, on a beautiful sunny autumn late afternoon. The sun, setting on the horizon, shone on the large pine trees scattered throughout the forest. The reddish light of the late afternoon sun gleamed from the leaves and trunks of these monumental trees.
