Hwy 101, Oregon Coast, USA

The wife and I were driving our motor home south on Highway 101 on a windy November day and had to pull over because the wind was too strong. When I saw this large pull-off area, I used it to have a break from fighting the wind.

When I looked around, I realized this was a great photo opportunity. All the sea stacks poking out of the foggy morning told me it was camera time.

As the wind was blowing from the land, the motor home provided shelter and a safe place to set up my gear.

After attaching my camera and lens to my tripod, I looked for the best composition. Having decided on this composition, I adjusted all my settings to give me the image I was looking for.

At home, months later, using Lightroom, the image you see is the end result of creating this fine art print.
