Hiking through the wet and dense pine forests of Lamahatta (a scenic village near the hill station of Darjeeling, India) in search of a hidden lake, I chanced across this beautiful formation of ferns, which provided a great foreground for the dense, mist-covered forest. Standing in the damp forest for almost an hour to find the perfect composition, I had only the silence and leeches to accompany me. The way down was pretty slippery and memorable.
