I hike with a friend every week during the winter. One of our favorite places to explore is the forested areas along the Rogue River between Medford and Crater Lake. The low light, with occasional bursts of sunlight, is perfect for finding a subject that is “In The Spotlight.”
I love the meditative quality of my time in the forest. Even though I frequently return without any keepers, it is still refreshing to walk in the quiet forest with just the sounds of birds and the nearby river.
