Gusts up to 40mph on my first hike up the dunes made for some unexpected photo opportunities. Sand and wind whipped me and the camera into submission. Shot this kneeling down at a high shutter speed to freeze the whirlwinds of sand. The sueded sand effect was unanticipated and pleasing. It’s remarkable what the wind can do.
