I watched the light move across the dunes at White Sands National Park in New Mexico, carving out shadows and lifting the highlights as the wind reshaped everything in real time. It felt vast and minimal all at once. There was just sand, a hint of green, and a soft blue sky.
These dunes set something in motion for me years ago. After experiencing White Sands over 20 years ago, I’ve found myself searching for landscapes like this ever since, but there’s nothing quite like these bright white dunes.
As the sun dropped, the scene slowed, and I stood there in complete awe and total calm.
