On another snowbird trip to Arizona and Nevada from my hometown of Courtenay, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, we stopped to check the campground in this wonderful place.
The many red sandstone formations are unbelievable. They are everywhere and all different in size and shape. The desert floor between these formations is covered with assorted vegetation.
I spent a few hours exploring and taking pictures throughout the park. I finally settled on these formations and moved around until choosing this composition. Setting my camera on the tripod and adjusting the settings required to give me an image that could end up as a fine art print to hang on my wall, I took the shot.
Later at home, processing the image in Lightroom, I was able to create the print I was hoping for.
