A group of us went touring the parks in the southwest US. Of course, Monument Valley was a top priority on our list of parks. The vastness of the landscape in this park is amazing.
This shot is looking over the desert toward Merrick Butte, with other mesas in the background. Merrick Butte is approximately 966 feet tall.
This butte, alongside the East and West Mitten Buttes, forms the iconic scene for which this park is so well known.
