I attended a photo workshop in the Utah badlands early last year. It was my first trip to this area, but it certainly won’t be my last. Thanks to my guide, I was lucky enough to witness incredible rock formations and canyons. However, the memory I will cherish most is from the final morning of the workshop.
After a short hike, we ended up on a plateau facing a stunning rock formation. As the sun slowly rose, painting the sky with a pinkish hue, I walked around the rock. From a side angle, it looked like a solitary king looking out over his empty, desertic kingdom (as someone from France with an interest in the Middle Ages, that was the image that came to mind).
