I hiked 10 miles near Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park this past September. While hiking Mazama Ridge, I saw this wide-open view of the south-central Cascades that I’d never seen before. I stopped and captured this image. At the time, the image didn’t seem that significant (as cool as the view was), but as I looked at my images later, I saw that this was one of my favorites of the year.
