The magpie is the most beautiful bird found in the parks in the region where I live. Its black breast, large greenish tail, and the sounds it makes – “tchak-tchak-tchak” – make it unmistakable. It regularly visits my garden.
In this image, it seems to be looking at me, but no, because I wasn’t there. It would have been looking at the CAMTRAPTIONS PIR motion sensor connected to my Canon that I used to capture the photograph. It is a sedentary species in Portugal, where subspecies melanotos occurs.
