Mt. Washington on Vancouver Island is well known as a ski resort in the wintertime. However, I much enjoy exploring all the logging and maintenance roads that wrap around the mountain. The backside of the ski hill has many small ponds. What a great place to find numerous photo opportunities.
On this fine day, I spotted these two large rocks in the center of one of the ponds. I walked around quite a bit to create the best composition. This image was taken from my chosen location.
Setting up my tripod, I attached my Canon 6D Mark II and looked through the 24-105 lens. I focused on the two rocks and took the shot. After seeing it in Lightroom, I knew I had made the right choice.
