Our family, including our kids and grandkids, woke up at 04:30 and drove for 45 minutes to reach the balloon take-off point. There must have been at least 20 balloons ascending at the same time. The view from the balloon was spectacular; at one point, we reached an elevation of 1,500 feet. I used my iPhone and Sony A1 to capture the experience, which was challenging due to the balloon’s movement. Later in the flight, we spotted herds of buffalo and elephants, as well as the wide-open vistas illuminated by the sunrise behind the mountains.
