This morning, there were no significant clouds to catch the rising light, but the way the light illuminated the fells and Derwent Isle was simply superb. With a very light wind and a calm lake, I found myself leaning towards a symmetrical image rather than a ‘big sky’ perspective.
It took several attempts to capture the scene as I envisioned it, largely because the geese kept swimming or flying into the frame. Thankfully, the opening of the Keswick boathouse and the promise of food distracted them long enough for the water to calm down again.
