While we were waiting for our car, we noticed some little creatures running up and down. As I pointed my camera, one of them struck a nice pose for a picture.

Chameleons are a group of reptiles that belong to the class Reptilia. They represent a distinct and highly specialised clade of old lizards. These fascinating reptiles have the ability to change colour and possess a long tongue that they use to catch their prey.

Chameleons change their skin colour to blend in with their surroundings, making them masters of disguise. They can alter their colour for various reasons, including camouflage, communication, or regulating their body temperature.

Additionally, chameleons can move their eyes independently, allowing them to scan their environment without moving their heads. They are commonly found in warm, humid environments, often living in trees or bushes. Their primary diet consists of insects, which they catch using their long tongues.
