This photo was taken during a trip to the Josefsthaler Waterfall. The camera was mounted on a tripod set up in the middle of the stream. By using a neutral density filter and a longer exposure time, the water appears soft and flowing, while the surrounding landscape remains sharp.
I chose a low perspective to combine the smaller cascades in the foreground with the main waterfall in the background. The aim was to show both depth and motion in the image.
For me, photography is a way to slow down – planning the shot, handling the equipment, and focusing on the moment are just as important as the final result.
