While celebrating the arrival of the monsoon season here in Arizona, I realized at some point along the way that I had become fully vulnerable to the power of the storm. It was while dodging the ever-increasing drops of rain, trying to keep my lens free of moisture, that I suddenly found myself engulfed in a spectrum of color.
Then something unexpected happened. For just a moment, a tiny hole opened up in the clouds, revealing the half-moon. The lesson became obvious to me. No matter how intense my storms may seem at present, they remain temporary and will surely pass, revealing a fresh perspective. Knowing this gives me pause to hope.
