In early October, the first hints of autumn dotted the landscape in warm hues, and the usual crowds had thinned. The quiet solitude of Canada’s national parks made the experience even more special. After exploring the rugged beauty of Banff and Jasper, I ventured into Yoho National Park, eager to see the famed Emerald Lake.

That day, the winds were perfectly still, and the lake lived up to its name—its vibrant turquoise waters calm and mirror-like. The towering peaks reflected flawlessly on the glassy surface, creating a scene that felt almost surreal. The cloudy sky contrasted beautifully against the deep greens of the surrounding forest.

With no ripples to break the reflection, it was as if the mountains and sky stretched endlessly in both directions. In that quiet moment, surrounded by nature’s brilliance, I felt completely immersed in the peaceful grandeur of the Canadian Rockies.
