A few years ago, in June, I joined an organized photo tour of Newfoundland and Labrador. One day, the leader took us to Trinity.
We spotted this lovely red building on the shore with a beautiful reflection. I installed my tripod and camera to capture the scene. I composed and framed my shot using a 72 mm focal length and an f/8 aperture. Rather than using a neutral density filter to remove movement in the water, I decided to take advantage of the ripples to bring a bit of dynamism to the scene.
During our trip, I had the chance to get close to whales, icebergs, birds, and beautiful landscapes. In June 2025, I will return to this lovely Canadian province.
My LPM portfolio contains several images taken during that trip.
Guided photography tours have many benefits. The organizers know when and where to go, so no time is wasted. If you need inspiration, visit the PhotoTours Directory website.
