I was born in Cornwall, England in 1976. I have a deep affection for the landscape and coastline of the County, having lived on a farm on the rural South coast for my childhood, and now living near the most Southerly point.

I started photography in December of 1997 shooting 35mm slide film but moved to the Pentax 67II medium format system since 2000. As of April 2009 I retired my Pentax 67II for a Canon 5D Mark II as my primary setup. Shooting digitally has opened up a whole new world for me and I am enjoying it to the fullest.
I currently reside, with my wife and two children, in McAlester, Oklahoma where I work full time as a Game Warden for the State of Oklahoma. I have always looked for ways to express myself creatively and decided to try my hand at photography back in the late 1990’s.

Growing up my family did a lot of camping so I’ve always had an appreciation for the outdoors and nature. Living in Alberta meant I could hike in the Canadian Rockies which is where my craft began. When I saw other people’s landscape photos taken at sunrise I knew I was going to have to start heading out earlier.
Adrian is a photographer, student, follower of light and dark and a sunset junkie. Anytime there is a spare moment he can generally be found knee deep in foaming icy surf of lying down covered in mud on riverbanks hoping for half a chance of a reflected moment of sunlight.
Available Light Images Ltd, or ALI for short, was formed in the summer of 2005 by Scottish photographer Alister Benn and his Chinese wife, Juanli Sun. As they are both known to their friends as Ali, it seemed an appropriate acronym.
