Where Thelwood Creek enters Buttle Lake is one of my favorite spots to visit with a camera in hand. As this location is close to my home in Courtenay, also on Vancouver Island, I go there often. I have photographed this area in all seasons.
On this December day, I was surprised to see a blue cast covering the entire area. This certainly made it feel like a winter blues day. I was so impressed with what I was looking at that I knew an image must be created.
Getting out my tripod, setting up my camera, adjusting the settings to ensure a good exposure, and focusing for depth of field, I took this photo. I am pleased with the results.
