After hiking to Rampart Ridge (southwest of Mount Rainier) last spring, I returned to the trailhead at Longmire around the beginning of golden hour. I decided to cross the Nisqually River and go to a clearing to try to get a good view of “the mountain” closer to sunset.
I took several photos and found this one to best illustrate soft sunlight hitting the mountain in the midst of a storm surrounding it: “Light in Darkness.”
