Sass de Putia (Peitlerkofel) is a mountain in the Dolomites, located in South Tyrol, Italy. As a solitary peak, it rises between Val Badia to the east and Val di Funes to the west, at the far northern edge of the Dolomites. Its steep rocky walls tower above green meadows and forests, while the calm pond in the foreground creates a clear reflection of the mountain.

There are many marked hiking trails in the area, and thanks to its easy access from a nearby paid car park, the place is very popular with both tourists and photographers. This photo was taken in June 2023 with a Sony A7RIII and a Sony 16–35 GM lens.

  1. The Dolomites always remind me of those classic nature documentaries where everything looks untouched. The mix of jagged mountains, quiet lakes, and open trails makes it feel like a sanctuary for anyone who loves being outdoors.
