I grew up on a wildlife reserve near Perth, Ontario, we spent most of our family holidays on camping and canoe trips to Algonquin Park, so it is no surprise that I am drawn to the outdoors. Having moved to Alberta out of high school, I was enthralled by the mountains. Jasper immediately felt like home my first summer out west. Fast forward a few years, I finished my teaching degree, moved to Warburg & got married. For 15 years, I taught full time….. I was fortunate enough to work with junior and senior high school students where I shared with them my love for the outdoors, be it our outdoor education class, an overnight camping trip to Jasper, a winter survival trip where we built and slept in our own shelters or a multi day backpacking trip in the Rockies, or running together in Ultra Marathons. I now work part time for a non-profit providing environmental and outdoor education programs to students. In 2020, I decided to take a leap of faith and share my love of nature with everyone! For years, I have made calendars for my family for Christmas and now I hope you will let me do the same for you! I would love for my work to become a part of your family too!
