I hiked up a rocky, dry creek bed for about 1/4 mile to begin my trek through the cold, running water, slippery rocks, and wet, rounded boulders. As I approached a narrow cave-like crevasse and entered it, I found a remarkably hidden 30-foot waterfall cascading down onto a rocky ledge, creating a small pool. The water from the upper pool then flows over its ledge, forming a second, smaller fall as it continues the journey down the mountainside.
