Picture Story

This was taken on a summer night in Zion National Park from the bridge running over the Virgin River...it was a challenge to get a 20 second exposure because of the vibration of the bridge caused by all the traffic, which seemed to never end, even at 3am. Every time I began the twenty second exposure, headlights would suddenly appear in the distance...finally, had a break for twenty seconds...if you are interested in shooting from this bridge, remember one thing, it is crowded at sunrise, sunset and even into the night when it is clear and the Milky Way is rising...so get to your spot early!
