Picture Story

White Pocket in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is an amazing place in northern Arizona that’s accessible only by high clearance 4 wheel drive roads, traveling through deep sand and rocky terrain. It's crazy white and pink rock formations make it a wonderland of compositions - regardless of the time of year. In spite of its million plus compositions its also for some reason a challenge to find just the right composition. For me my favorite comps are usually made with ultra-wide or hyper wide glass. In this case it was the Sony A7rII, using what is probably my favorite lens – the Leica 16-18-21mm F4 ASPH Tri-Elmar-M with the Novaflex adapter.
