Picture Story

This image was taken during the peak of fall color in 2019. The Columbia River Gorge can be hit or miss on fall colors due to the abundance of evergreens and not as many maples as you drive further east through the Gorge. Wahkeenah is right at the western side of the riparian rainforest and offers enough rainfall for those beautiful leaf dropping trees to soak it up and flourish. Anytime of year is a good time to visit the Gorge.

Note: I did focus stack this image to retain total depth of field.
