Picture Story

This image was taken from a Hot Air Balloon, which was more fun than getting from a drone! It was my first ride in a balloon and it was amazing. Floating over the landscape in the quiet stillness of an October morning was breathtaking.

I love the patterns and lines you can see from the air, how the landscape flows and reveals itself. I used my 80 -200mm zoom and was @145mm for this shot. You can keep your aperture pretty wide at this perspective because you dont need a great deal of depth of field to get everything sharp. Even though the balloon is floating smoothly, it is still moving so keeping your shutter speed up in important.
