Picture Story

While driving around the high mountain valleys of Colorado looking for abandoned places, I noticed this old and weathered juniper tree standing alone in the wide plain. There was nothing else around except for rocks and old livestock coral nearby. Like an old man who has stood the test of time but abandoned by friends and family, the tree was very lonely, but still lives on despite its harsh conditions. I was also lucky that a storm was passing nearby, too, with the added drama of of lightning strike in the distance!
