Cottonwood Tree, Erie, Colorado, USA by Deb Cochrane

Picture Story

This tree in my neighbourhood has fascinated me since I moved here 8 years ago. I call her Sleeping Beauty because I think she is at her most beautiful in Winter. I have photographed her in different light, weather and seasons. This particular evening I knew the full Moon would rise behind her and the sky was cloudless. I love how the moon looks like an earring dangling off her. She feels like an old friend to me now. I hope she is around for many years to come.
