Just spent the month of September exploring the wonderful landscapes of southern Utah. One of my favorite places was Bryce Canyon. The rim trail provides easy access to one of the most other worldly landscapes in the western U.S.

Living literally right on the edge, the Limber Pine somehow manages to eke out a lonely existence in this unforgiving climate. These wonderful trees are on full display for all to admire, but pay close attention when framing your shot... It's a long drop down to the bottom!

September is a great month to visit Utah. The warm days and comfortably cool nights of late summer combined with the occasional monsoonal thunder storm make for fabulous photographic possibilities. I look forward to visiting again next year.
