The photographic archive of the National Geographic Society must be massive. It contains the work of their best photographers, who have contributed work to the magazine over many years. Every now and again the Society produces a book of their best images on a certain theme. In this book the theme is the natural world, both the landscape and the creatures that inhabit it.
The book is divided into four chapters with the themes Awe, Grace, Joy and Peace. A short essay on the theme precedes each chapter (which I felt came across as slightly pretentious), however the main attraction of this book is the photographs, and they are very good.
