Photographing The Milky Way

The galaxy that contains our Solar System is a fascinating sight and with today's technology, says Brandon Yoshizawa, it is now easier than ever to photograph it. Here are some guidelines to help produce stunning images of the Milky Way

The biggest factor to photographing the Milky Way is finding a dark location, away from light pollution caused by artificial light. Light pollution shines upward and washes out the dark sky, significantly limiting the Milky Way viewing experience.
