Like many budding landscape photographers, I geared up for the long haul when I purchased my first DSLR – a backpack full of filters, extra batteries, a sturdier tripod, and a little red rain jacket for the new baby. I headed out on my first hike, each item safely tucked into the padded pack, my camera hanging from my neck. After a few months of these pack animal treks, I had to rethink my carrying capacity in between trips to a massage therapist.
